Just wanted to let you know we enjoyed our lunch immensely.  The lobster and crab legs were terrific!

The ease of cracking the snow crabs was especially nice since I have a tremor in one of my hands.

Lots of Fresh Kitty Mitchell Grouper

How did the Kitty Mitchell Grouper get it's name?
They are a pretty little fish covered in spots (also called a speckled hind or calico grouper)

Kitty Mitchell was a woman who ran a boarding house next to the Port Royal Lounge in 

Louisiana in the sixties.

Many snapper fishermen passed through that boarding house.

She always wore flowing flowery dresses, which resemble the patterns on the fish, 

and the name stuck.

Enjoy Memorial Day Weekend with Delicious Parmesan Scallops!

My husband and I are from the UK and we come to Cocoa Beach every year.  We have always looked in the fish market and bought fish from there, however, last year was the first we dined there and, wow, can't wait to get back.  The fish is so fresh and beautifully cooked.  I had Swordfish done with some kind of lemony sauce, fish moist and tasty, hubby had the Scallops with Parmesan and couldn't get enough.  True, the setting is simple and basic but that kind of goes with the ambiance and the location, i.e. right beside the fishing boats as they dock and unload, which you can watch.  Prices are sensible, wine is good vin de table.  Waiters knowledgeable and friendly.  I can't fault this place.  Will be back in October.
